A new front nose seal for the timing chain cover is ALWAYS a great idea when changing out the harmonic balancer, crank sensor, or performing any other routine maintenance when you are working in that area.
The nose seals do tend to leak oil as the cars age so be ProActive, not Dumb-Active and change out the seal in a timely fashion.
