These fit perfectly just below the rear bumper covers on a Mark VIII, Thunderbird LX, Cougar, or just about any car that does not have a low hanging rear cover. These mufflers are a straight through design for optimum performance at wide open throttle yet have a perforated core with woven sound reduction material on the periphery of the body for relatively quiet cruising.
The body is 14" long and is a 5 x 8" oval shape. The muffler is 24" long overall. The inlet diameter is 2 1/4" and has a 2 3/4" long section of tubing extending from the body. The muffler inlets can easily be expanded to 2.5" by muffler shops. The tips extends approx. 6" from the body.
We offer dual 3" round slanted tips or dual oval tips. We can also provide these same mufflers with a single tip. Options are a round/slanted 4" or 4.5" tip or a 5.5" x 3.5" oval tip. YOUR CHOICE...THEY ARE ALL THE SAME PRICE!!
