A complete kit with high quality Motorcraft pump, vehicle specific sock filter/screen, gasket, and misc. hardware. This pump is similar to the factory pump but does require some easy minor work needed to make it hook up and fit well. This is the only high flow alternative we are aware of for the '97/98 Mark VIII so it is worth the extra effort! Instructions are included.
The best choice for cars that mildly to extensively modified. Remember that you can never have too large of a fuel pump. With the return type fuel system, whatever is not used at the engine is returned back to the gas tank. You certainly don't want to run lean, so having a high capacity pump is ALWAYS a good idea.
The stock pump size on the car ranged from 110 to 128 lph (depending upon year) and even a stock engine can use more fuel. If your car has more than 100,000 miles, your pump is likely on it's last legs. Replace it before it leaves you stranded. Be proactive, not dumb-active.
This pump kit is for the unique '97/98 setup. Do not choose this kit if you have a '93-96 Gen 1 Mark.
